Throughout history, the inhabitants of Anterras belonged to an exclusionary tribe, but times change and people start to mingle with other species. To keep this list simple however, each character is grouped with the tribe of their birth, even if they left it for greener pastures.

Duskhowl Wolves

Bloodstone

The stern, but kind chief of the Duskhowl wolves. When his father was killed in the last war he took over after him, never intending to remain chief but his success on the field led him to inherit the mantle permanently afterwards.

Briarthorn
Sex: Male
Job: Lead Trapper
This clever trickster has managed to surpass the other hunters in his tribe through trapping prey and learning from other tribes. Known for thinking on his feet, he has survived countless dangers most would avoid.

Buckeye
Sex: Male
Job: Hunter
An experienced and well-regarded hunter, Buckeye is known as a stalwart, dutiful wolf who puts the needs of the tribe above his own. He has seen a respectable number of seasons, sired his fair share of pups, and now prefers to spend his time with males.

Moonwrought

Job: Tanner
Once a great warrior, this older gentle wolf has dedicated his life to creating things instead of destroying them. He is often a voice of caution and common sense to help soothe the tempers of more volatile wolves.

Thistle

Job: Apprentice Hunter
Freshly into breeding age, Thistle is a cocky young wolf who has yet to prove himself. Overly eager in duty and love, he still lacks the discipline to be successful in either. He considers himself a lady killer, but often finds his place under the stronger males of the tribe.

Slate

Job: Lead Hunter
Brutal and strong, this no-nonsense wolf considers it his birthright to follow his father’s legacy as chief. He often uses his perceived status to bully others.

Willowsong
Sex: Male
Job: Talekeeper
After the tribes Talekeeper passed, he inherited the mantle from his master to become the youngest to hold such a high position. Calm and reserved, he tries to be everything that is expected of him despite the strain it puts on him and those he cares about.

Ivytwine
Sex: Female
Job: Huntress
A fluffy, preening wolf who uses her looks to manipulate those around her into doing her share of the work. Most of the males in the tribe have their eye on her, but she only has eyes for whoever can earn her the most prestige.

Redfang
Sex: Female
Job: Huntress
A towering wolf that stands just as tall as the other hunters, her ferocity has earned her a place of fear and respect in the tribe. She is devoted to the old ways, but finds herself curious about the new tricks and traps that Briarthorn uses to keep himself on top.

Ponderosa

Job: Shamaness
A bent, older wolf in charge of keeping the spirits happy with the wolf tribe as well as keeping the wolves in one piece. Despite her age she hates tradition that keeps her people ignorant and wishes to return to a time where information flowed freely between all woodland tribes.

Trilling

Job: Fletcher
Lighthearted and sarcastic, the tribe’s arrow master is a sleek, grizzled wolf that loves tinkering. When she lost her leg, instead of despairing she worked on carving herself a new one, refusing help from all others and pushing to find other ways to be invaluable to the tribe.
